Woodland & coastal zones
We’re in the midst of a heat wave and I’ve been watering like crazy first thing in the mornings.
Otherwise, we’ve had fun creating woodland and coastal ‘zones’ at the north and south ends of the terrace, respectively. The photo above shows the woodland and log garden, shaded by the field maple and rowan trees. The photo below is of the coastal zone.
The plants in between constitute the meadow, which will eventually be sorted into wetland and pond, and grassland plants.
The coastal zone!
