Marsh helleborine
Marsh helleborine (Epipactis palustris).
This is our first attempt to grow an orchid. I’m not sure that it was planted in the best soil mix, but it’s lovely to see it in flower, and I’ll repot it later in the year. I’ve been using AI to get advice on repotting and it’s been incredibly helpful. I got the plant from Celtic Wildflowers who specialise in conserving native British flora.
Here are some other plants that are out in flower:
Clustered bellflower (Campanula glomerata), currently attracting a lot of bees and other pollinators.
Meadow Crane’s-Bill (Geranium pratense)
Monkshood (Aconitum napellus) - close to the end of their season.
Common selfheal (Prunella vulgaris)
