End of season
This is my last post for 2025. It’s been a warm November, and our (non-native) goldenrod and lavender are flowering. Even the cornflowers have had another burst of life.
Over the last few months I’ve been scattering seeds from one pot to another to form the look of a continuous meadow. I purchased woodland mulch for our new hedge of privet and hawthorn, and have weeded and re-potted several other plants. Things look damp and wrapped up warmly for the winter.
The pond looks good too, though I’ve seen almost no critters using it. Perhaps they’ll make their way to us in 2026.
